Can you refinish a previously refinished tub?

Yes. Porcelite Refinishing of South Florida can refinish your old tub, whether it’s been refinished before or not.

How does the bathtub look after refinishing?

It will be glossy and easy to maintain.

How long will the job take?
It takes 3-4 hours per tub plus 48 hours of curing time before you can use the tub again. Compared to the removal, retiling and replumbing involved when replacing a bathtub, Porcelite can save you days or weeks of down time.

Does Porcelite Refinishing only perform residential work?

While the majority of our work is for individual homeowners, we also refinish bathtubs for property managers seeking to renew bathrooms for rental. We are also contracted by many hotels to rejuvenate their bathtubs.

Porcelite is continually in demand with remodeling contractors and real estate brokers. Additionally, we provide our service to South Florida’s top interior decorators and designers. We are renowned in this field for our expert work and custom color matching.

What is your service area?
Porcelite Refinishing does residential work in southern Broward County, all of Miami-Dade County, and south to Key Largo. For large, commercial projects, we work throughout South Florida and the Caribbean.

What items does Porcelite refinish?
We refinish bathtubs, spa tubs, roman tubs, antique (claw foot and pedestal) bathtubs, bathroom wall tile, sinks and vanity tops, and kitchen sinks. We can also apply an anti-skid area to the bathtub during refinishing.

What colors can be selected?
The customer can choose white, any standard fixture manufacturer’s color or a custom color. We have a licensed decorator on staff if you need advice with color choices.

Will the bathroom be messy?
Porcelite Refinishing’s technicians pride themselves on their jobsite cleanliness. They will treat you and your bathroom with respect.

The only clean-up involved on the customer’s part occurs after the 48 hour curing period. At that time, the small amount of masking paper placed around the tub should be discarded. If old caulking was removed, the tub should be re-caulked. If you prefer, your Porcelite technician can return to do this for a small fee.

How do your estimates work?

Because of Porcelite’s extensive experience in South Florida, a firm proposal can usually be given via telephone. However, for an unusual situation or a large quantity of tubs, a Porcelite representative can visit your jobsite at no charge.
